At His Feet

Those tiny legs swung left and right from the foot of the stage
Hands on the chin, eyes focused
And there, a wide smile plastered across her face

Funny to say a few moments ago,
those same legs walked onto the stage
Hard polished floors, blinding lights that flood the arena
And no audience in sight
Those legs scurried all over, not necessarily in a direction
Just flopping around with a wild imagination

Then there, a presence, the only one that matters
That one that feels like a thousand
Now flopping turned inward and outward came an expression
An expression so deep, so full and so amazing
Now full of direction, motion from start to finish

A dance of untold stories now laid bare, touching hearts of all who saw
So now she sits swinging her legs
Holding on to every word
Of this person that ignited the passion
Funny how he saw from the inside out
And that’s our God

Ever had to make a decision or just had a question you needed an answer to and thought through all the think through all the scenarios, analyze, check mark something? It’s pretty interesting to see just how much time that takes.

Then there’s another scenario, where we invite an expert, it may be a friend or adult, or any other person and within a couple minutes, you have this done and down (and much more time to go with it!)

At the feet of Jesus, we admire Him, we build our relationship with Him and we just listen to Him. He has so much to give and we just can soak in all of that wisdom and information to carry it on in our daily lives. Sometimes we get so busy that we forget to just spend time with Jesus, but he’s so patiently waiting for us to lock back in and focus our eyes on Him, and we know that in Him we are full. (Colossians 2:10) ‘So you also are complete through your union with Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority.

Today, challenge yourself to just sit with Jesus and hear what He has to say to you, you might just get your questions answered in record time! And He’s eager to just spend time with you, because you matter to Him, that’s the one presence.

Prayer: Dear God, thank You for being patient and creating an atmosphere where I can be at Your feet. Today, show me Your will and teach me lots of things as I get to know You better and spend time with You in Jesus name, Amen
